Valencia, all-year-round!

The summer is over, but the city of Valencia will remain connected to over 50 international Airport this winter season- not just with “point to point” carriers but also with several “flag carriers”.

Many people keeps thinking that we just hub low cost airlines, but they forgot that we have airlines like British Airways, Lufthansa, Swiss or Turkish Airlines. That this year KLM, Aeroflot and Alitalia will have also daily flights. Not to forget Air Nostrum/Iberia or Air Europa/Air France ones…

There are still some connections missing: but the offer is huge. This winter we will have historical new flights to Warsaw and next summer Ryanair confirmed new ones to Scotland and Denmark.

Last week I was happy to be in a new Routes Conference, my 8th one. Meeeting again several Airlines and Airports- working hard to get new routes and keep the ones we have.

I am very proud to have helped- together with a big team at Valencia Tourism, together with a whole city- to make this happen. These results have been noticed by International Aviation community and I was again invited to talk at the World Routes Tourism Summit about innovation in Destination Marketing.

Over 4.000 delegates from all the World where at this year Conference in Chengdu, in the most important Route Development Forum that takes part during the year.

As everything is not work… I also had the chance to make some… Some pictures 😉

Ánima Mediterrània, best Book of the World!!

 This week the book  “Ànima Mediterrànea” from Bernd H. Knöller, Chef and Owner from Riff Restaurant, one of best restaurants in Valencia (and in Spain) with one Michelin star has been awarded as the Best Book of the World at the  XVIII GOURMAND WORLD COOKBOOK AWARDS in the category “Mediterranean – Dun Gifford Award.

The book was done with the photograph Xavier Mollà.

Congratulations to both of you!!

Just one word: PAELLA

Definitely talking about Valencia is talking about Paella … PAELLA in big letters …

As you see in the last years we have been promoting Paella allover Asia and Oceania… allover the world! Soon I will make a photograph exhibition from people taking pictures and filming Paella!! 😉

Well I just want to inform you about two important coming events:

1st one in Sueca, only 30 minutes away to Valencia city is the 51st International Paella Contest. An event declared of National Tourist Interest.

2nd one will be in Valencia, from 29th September to 2nd October and it will be the first World Congress of Rice.
