Next month Fallas from Valencia will start with “la Cridà” (last Sunday of February).

Makan Angin returns for a second season after its receptive debut in 2010. It has proven to be an interesting programme that goes places and while doing so, explores two of our favourite pastimes – traveling and eating. It is both a travelogue and a food show combined, and is helmed by two Singapore television household names – Najip Ali and Cik Sal. Every week, the programme takes viewers to a different region in Spain.

Let me show you some screenshots from the nice episode about Valencia. In the episode they show Valencia Beach “Las Arenas”, the city centre: including La Lonja or Central Market, Albufera Lake, the City of Arts and Sciences, etc.

Last month Valencia welcomed a fam/press trip organized by Valencia Tourism and Chinese Top magazine “MICE China“… with Travel buyers from huge Chinese corporations.

This year this blog will be two years old … it´s getting difficult for me to actualize it as often as I would like … however people interested in keeping in touch with me and with tools and information to promote Valencia can follow me on Twitter: @VLC_Miguel.

This year 2012 I decided to move forward and create a YouTube Channel To inagurate it I decided to send my Christmas and New Year greetings through this new Channel… which eventually will be a tool to offer you videos.
I am really amazed with the success as I got over 1.000 visits in only one week!!

Well I am now not talking about this blog, but about a Tweet with a Christmas picture from Valencia chosen from Lonely Planet as favourite in Twitter.

Quality from the picture is not that good (Blackberry Curve)…but the City Council Square looks great with the Xmas lights!!

Viva Valencia in Philippines luxury magazine!

This year in Fallas we got the visit from a Philippines TV Crew managed by Mr. David Celdran, he did a great programme about Valencia and Fallas for his “Executive Class” programme. Since may he is the Editor for the men’s luxury magazine called VAULT (also in Philippines).

Valencia event success in Kiev!

I want to share with you a couple of pictures from last presentation from Valencia city in Kiev (or as Ukranian say “Kyiv”) and I also want to suggest you this destination Kiev: which has direct flight to Valencia with WizzAir (www.wizzair.com).

It is a city where you can experience a different culture, different gastronomy or different landscape … I think it is a wonderful idea for a city-break.

I was there on Monday and Tuesday with some Valencian companies (RTA, Aquatravel, Tourist Partners, Casa Montaña and Las Arenas Hotel) and Valencia Basket (see picture). We show our city to most important tourism professional (agents and journalists).

The event was opened by Spanish Ambassador in Kiev, Mr. José Rodriguez Moyano, who spoke to the audience in Russian (as he lived in Moscow for many years).

Ukranian tourism agents were amazed discovering Valencia destination and promised to make an effort to send many tourists!!
